Break free – Two people. Two years. One Dream.
Ulli and Lena plan to take a six-month break and drive from Hamburg to South Africa. They never arrive there. Instead, they spend almost two years rolling through West Africa in their old Land Rover Terés and the nearly 40-year-old roof tent that Ulli’s godmother gave them.
It’s about a lot: about rediscovering yourself, about feeling yourself again. And not turning back until something fundamental has changed in your attitude towards life. On a 46,000-kilometer journey, more than once around the world, the two experience adventures every day. Some of them are hard to digest.
A film that reveals the wonderful, but also the dark, sides of travel. It captivates, stirs, delights, shocks, and astonishes. It gives you the courage to pursue your own dreams. A film that infects you with its fascination and love for Africa.
